La Ciénaga, Cabarete, Dominican Republic – In line with its mission to offer high-quality educational opportunities and foster comprehensive skills in children, youth, and families in the Dominican Republic, DREAM Project has partnered with Phoenix Tower International (PTI), one of the world's leading providers of high-quality wireless infrastructure, to inaugurate the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Tech Hub classroom in La Ciénaga, Cabarete.

On Friday, June 21, thanks to the generous sponsorship and community commitment of PTI through its Wings Foundation, the DREAM Project and PTI inaugurated the STEAM Tech Hub classroom. This new educational space is equipped with high-quality technological materials, including 14 laptops, a variety of STEAM-based games, shelves, educational materials, and a mobile charging station for laptops and tablets, allowing for the creation of a mobile classroom.

The event was attended by PTI's Founder and CEO Dagan T. Kasavana, Chief People Officer Marcella Barry, and a special team from PTI. During the inauguration, Kasavana expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with DREAM Project and his commitment to technological education in the community: "We are very proud to be part of this community. This is what PTI does. This is what it's all about: helping children improve their future by focusing on science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. These are skills that will benefit these children for life, and we couldn't be prouder to do it."

Additionally, the children participated in a special activity where they built towers similar to those PTI works with, highlighting the importance of wireless infrastructure. This activity was not only educational but also fun and participatory, reinforcing PTI's commitment to education and technological development in La Ciénaga.

Before the inauguration, a special panel was held, where the PTI team participated alongside youth from DREAM’s A Ganar youth leadership and workforce development program. During the panel, the youth shared their experiences in A Ganar, and the PTI team offered words of inspiration and practical advice. Later, the participants moved to a site with a telecommunications tower, where the PTI team explained its operation and the importance of this type of infrastructure.

This joint initiative not only provides students with access to advanced technological tools but also fosters a dynamic and interactive learning environment that promotes the development of crucial skills for the future.

DREAM Project is deeply grateful to the PTI team for their support and collaboration in creating this innovative educational space. This joint effort reflects the commitment of both institutions to education and the development of La Ciénaga as a community.
