Catherine Cuello

Catherine was born in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois and raised in Santo Domingo by Dominican parents. She lived in Geneva and Brussels due to her family’s diplomatic status from 1999 to 2005. At the age of 18 she went to England to pursue a Bachelor’s degree, where she double-majored in Political Science / International Relations and minored in Journalism. Her love and passion to help the development of her country never ceased, thus whilst in college, she volunteered for various non-profit organizations including the Batey Relief Alliance (2008) and the Dream Project in Cabarete (2009). She also served as an aid for Lorelly Burt, Solihull’s (UK) Liberal Democratic candidate and has freelanced for MTV in New York City in the past. Catherine currently resides in Manhattan and works as a Public Relations Account Coordinator for The Vox Collective, a marketing agency specializing in the growing US Hispanic market. From within the Vox Collective she has successfully led public health campaigns for clients such as Sanofi Pasteur, enhanced PepsiCo’s Corporate Social Responsibility in the Latino community and raised awareness for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. 100 million mark campaigns have been achieved under her guidance, as have interviews with top tier media outlets such as CNN en Español, Univision and Telemundo. Catherine’s devotion to play a part in the evolution of her country’s social, economic and political framework is what inspired us to have her join the Dream Advisory Board in 2011.
